Vampire Counts Ogres to Crypt Horror Conversion Project 2 & Background

The idea to convert ogres to Crypt Horrors came from a couple of areas. One was a search of the net, just looking for ideas, another was viewing a YouTube channel "mreeson" where he has ogres painted in a necrotic colour. Also when I was down at the club someone suggested that my army was too soft and some crypt ghouls could be the answer

When I looked at my list I wanted to keep to the zombie theme of my army. Hence the grave guard will get the flick and the Crypt Horrors come in. They will be painted to be part Crypt Horror part 'zombie ogre' so I think they will look good.

The biggest challenge was the price. I wanted 15 of these, and at $81 Aussie dollars per 3 this was going to cost me $405!!!!! The pricing of games workshop in Oz has been discussed in many forums so I won't go on here. Instead I managed to get 20 ogres ( a battalion box set plus lead Belchers) through eBay at a good price $90 for the lot including postage. I sold the lead Belchers for $20 so got some of that back as well. I also purchased a whole bunch of Crypt Horror bits including arms and head swaps. Below is some of the photos of the ogres when they arrived. Put together pretty well and then undercoated. That's about it
